To get an idea of the magnitude of this flip house, and the tiny rooms in which we had to work with, here are some before photos of the kitchen and living room of our newly renovated great room. Also there was a laundry room, a small nook, full dinning room, 2 small hallways and entry way that took up a lot of under utilized square footage that needed demolition.

The entire downstairs had to be reutilized to maximize the house’s potential, starting with the great room. Day 1 of demolition was tearing out the kitchen cabinets. Two weeks later (doing all the work myself) the drywall of the walls we were removing, paneling, carpet, carpet padding that had seemingly melted to the plywood (what a pain) had been removed. After a contractor gave us a quote to remove the load bearing wall and pointed out all the non load bearing walls, I got to work removing the non load bearing studs. Let me tell you, demolition is fun… for 5 minutes, then its a huge chore.
